sparseiy deve1oped, moist soi1, sparse vege-
tation, and many sharp rock fragments; 1ight
co1ored surface. Pm granitic. On steep,
1ower s1ope with south aspect. Common, with
Poa alpina, Poa Sp., Epilobium Zatifblia,
Saxifraga bronchialis, Silene acaulis, and
Saxifraga oppositifblia. P1antS rather Suc-
cu1ent and fragi1e. Fruits broad1y winged
with red margins.
