Bench. Moist, relatively level tundra at base
of Mesa. Cotton Grass tussock meadow dominated
by Erioohorum spp., other graminoids, Eguisetum
spp., lichens, Saxifraga spp., and low-growing
herbs and shrubs. Collected in moist area,
weakly rooted among Sphagnum and other mosses.
Flowers white to pinkish-white; stamens yellow;
stem light red. Fairly com on.
