Mesa Slope. Dry well-drained tundra with
shallow soils or steep talus. Dominated by
Cassiope tetragona, Dryas octapetala,
Potentilla spp., lichens, and low-growing
herbs and shrubs. Collected on rocky slope,
associated with Q, nivalis; may be hybrid.
Flowers yellow, tiny. Fairly common.
