(Empetraceae)
Bench. Moist, relatively level tundra at base
of Mesa. Cotton Grass tussock meadow dominated
by Erioghorum spp., other graminodds, Eguisetum
spp., lichens, Saxifraga spp., and low-growing
herbs and shrubs. Collected on tundra bench
just E of Mesa. No flowers, but black berries
present. Pleasant pungent odor. Common in
locality.
