Mesa Top. Dry elevated tundra with shallow
well-drained soils on fractured bedrock.
Dominated by Dryas octapetala, Silene acaulis,
lichens, grasses, and low-growing herbs and
woody shrubs. Collected in rocky crevice.
Petals greenish-yellow, sepals reddish at
margins, stamens yellow, capsule red-tipped.
Flowers tiny. Fairly com on in locality.
