Luzula arcuata (Wahlenb.) Sw. Subsp.
unalaschcensis (Buchenau) Hult.
JUNEAU ICEFIELD: About 400 yards north of
cookhouse at Camp l7 (FGER) and below Vesper
Peak. Elevation about 4,350’. Mesic moss/
lichen stony meadow. Pm schistose. On mod-
erately steep mid-slope with south aspect.
Abundant, with Saxiftaga bronchialis, Sedum
fosea, Silene acaulis, and Hierochloe alpina.
Plants rhiz. Flowers with very pilose
bracts. Flowers and petals purple-brown.
