Festuca brachyphylla Schult.
(Poaceae [Graminae])
Mesa Slope. Dry well-drained tundra with
shallow soils or steep talus. Dominated by
Cassiope tetraqona, Dryas octapetala,
Potentilla spp., lichens, and low-growing
herbs and shrubs. Collected on scree slope on
S side of Mesa. Fairly common.
