Salim arctica Pall.
JUNEAU ICEFIELD: Approximately 4 miles north-
west of Camp 26 (FGER) on Marble Mountain Nuna
tak. Elevation approximately 5,200', just
above meltwater pond within dense vegetation
in relatively deep soil high in organics and
with scattered rock material. Pm low grade
metamorphics and metasediments. On steep
lower mid-slope with a south-southwest aspect.
Abundant, with Epilobium Zatifblia, Salim
Spp., Cerastium beeringianum, Aconitum
delphinifblium, Agoeerie aurantiaca, Artemi-
sia arctica, Delphinium glaucum, and Solidago
multiradiata. Plants prostrate with stout
stems. Catkins light green with dark brown
scales with many long villous hairs. Only
female plants collected.
