Mesa Top. Dry elevated tundra with shallow
well-drained Soils on fractured bedrock.
Dominated by Dryas octapetala, Silene acaulis,
lichens, grasses, and low-growing herbs and
woody shrubs. Collected just below actual
sum it of Mesa. Petals and sepals white with
3 red veins beneath. Not common.
