Mesa Top. Dry elevated tundra with shallow
well-drained soil on fractured bedrock.
Dominated by Dryas octapetala, Silene acauli
S
lichens, grasses, and low-growing herbs and
woody shrubs. Collected on densely grassy
area at base of rock outcrop on E end of
Mesa. Fairly common.
