m.s.m., alpine ericaceous dwarf shrub tundra, on moist to wet plateau top, on
gently sloping to N and E (2°-6°) turfy silt loam peats over Birch Creek schist,
associated with Vaccinium vizis-idaea, Empetrum nigrum, Cassiope tetragona,
Ledum palustre ssp. decumbens, Bistorla plumosa, Bistorta vivipara, Pediculczris
Iabradorica and Luzula spp, occasional.
